It’s taken a few years but Google’s Play Music service has been launched in India. The service now allows users to enjoy music in Hindi, English and other regional languages. A single song on Google Play Music costs Rs. 15 whereas the full album ranges from Rs. 90 to Rs. 190. Additionally, Play Music users can store up to 50,000 songs from their own library on Google’s service, allowing them to stream on any logged in device.
The music collection seems decent but Google’s entry to the music party seems to be late and a bit expensive to the competition. Google is competing with Apple’s Music and many India-based services like Saavn, Gaana, Airtel Wynk and Jio Music.
