PS4 new major system update 4.00 brings refreshed system UI, Folder organization, Quick Menu and Share Menu updates, Library improvements and other new features including the HDR support.
The new Quick Menu — Music now lets you access, play and control Spotify without the need to open the app and leaving the game. The music section from the Quick Menu now lets you play, pause, skip, shuffle, repeat and save songs.
Another highlight of this update is the support for High Dynamic Range (HDR). All PlayStation 4 systems sold from 2013 will be now HDR capable. You can now enjoy HDR gaming and entertainment content on your HDR screen.
The content info screen is also redesigned. This can be accessed by pressing down on a game title on the home screen. You can get the game’s overview, trending media, Friends and Communities, Activities and related PlayStation store content.
If you are the one who is planning to upgrade to the new PS4 Pro, you can now transfer your existing date from PS4 with a wired LAN connection. You can transfer games, user info, and saved data. Of course, you can re-download content and transfer saves through the cloud.

In anticipation of the release of PS4 Pro on November 10, 2016, this update will enable the following on PS4 Pro:
1080p streaming for Remote Play on PC/Mac and compatible Xperia devices
1080p streaming for Share Play
1080p 30/60fps live broadcasting on YouTube
1080p 30fps live broadcasting on Twitch
