In addition to the iPhone family, Apple also updated its Apple Watch lineup with the new Apple Watch Series 2. The new watch looks the same as the predecessor but this time, it adds water resistance up to 50 meters that is said to be perfect for swimmers and has a built-in GPS so that it can track the runs without having you to need an iPhone. The Apple Watch Series 2 can count laps, track average lap pace and auto-detect stroke type to accurately measure active calorie burn.
On the processing front, the Apple Watch Series 2 is up to 50 percent faster than the previous generation. It features second generation S2 chip that has a dual-core processor, a GPU that delivers up to two-times better graphics performance and a brighter display that can output to up to 1,000 nits.
The Apple Watch Series 2 will go on sale from October 7 in gold, rose gold, silver, space grey aluminium, space black stainless steel at Rs. 32,900. The ceramic Apple Watch Edition starts at Rs. 1,10,900 whereas the Apple Watch Nike+ starts at Rs. 32,900.
The first-generation Apple Watch now starts at Rs. 23,900.
