The first laptop from Xiaomi is strikingly similar to the Apple MacBook Air but is almost half the price. Running Windows 10, Mi Notebook Air comes two display sizes, 13.3-inch screen and 12.5-inch screen.
The 13.3-inch screen version is more powerful that is powered by 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics and a 256GB SSD. The display is 1920×1080 full HD resolution and also features a backlit keyboard. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3 runs Windows 10 Home Edition. Other notable features include AKG custom grade dual speakers supporting Dolby Digital surround sound, full set of connectors: HDMI, USB 3.0 x 2, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C (that can charge the laptop to 50% in just 30 minutes), Bluetooth 4.1 and can be unlocked with Mi Band 2. The laptop weighs 1.28kg.
The smaller sibling, 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air runs on an Intel Core M3 processor, 4GB of RAM, integrated graphics and a 128GB SSD. Clearly this is meant for office users who do not want much performance. This laptop is 12.9mm thin and weighs 1.07kg. It also support 1C quick charging.
Mi Notebook Air will be sold only in China, where the two models will be available from 2 August at ¥4,999 and ¥3,499.
