Improved Apple Maps for India on the horizon, thanks to a new development office

Apple’s second announcement for the Indian market will make iOS users happy. Or those who really want to use Apple Maps in India. Apple has announced that they will setup a new office in the state of Hyderabad in India that will focus on development of Maps for Apple products.

The development office will be located in Waverock campus and will help create up to 4,000 jobs.

Apple Maps’ failure is no secret. Although the service has improved in the United States, the service is atrocious when you compare it with Google Maps, HERE Maps or even local solutions like MapmyIndia.

Yesterday, Apple announced to open an App Development Accelerator in Bengaluru to facilitate development of iOS apps and help developers.
