Asus first showed the Zenfone Zoom as a concept device at CES last year. Now after a year of working on the device, Asus is ready for the commercial launch, making India one of the first countries for the launch. Priced at Rs. 37,999, Zenfone Zoom boasts 3X optical zoom 10-element HOYA lens. The device looks like a smartphone more than a digital camera, which Samsung’s Galaxy K zoom looked like.
It has a 13 megapixel PixelMaster camera at the back with OIS and Super Resolution support that allows the phone to click pictures in up to 52 megapixel. The front is a 5 megapixel sensor wide-angle 88-degree lens.
On the smartphone side of things, the phone is powered by 64-bit Intel Z3590 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch Full HD display, 128GB internal memory with microSD card slot supporting 128GB, LTE support, 802.11ac support, 3000mAh battery.
The phone is now available on Flipkart and will start selling in Asus exclusive stores in February 2016.
