Online streaming service, Netflix today announced the rollout of its service for global market. The company added 130 countries to its list today, which also includes India, bringing the total count to over 190 countries.
The Indian pricing of the service starts from Rs. 500 and is offered with two additional plans – Standard and Premium. the Value plan is priced at Rs. 650 for a month and allows two concurrent streams and Full HD resolution support. The Premium plan priced at Rs. 800 offers 4 concurrent streams and up to 4K resolution.
The content on offer slightly differs from what Netflix offers in its home country. While Netflix users will gain on the original content that they produce, other movies and shows depends on how and when Netflix cuts a deal with studios. For Indian viewers, there are a few Bollywood movies in the collection but quite frankly, it’s sparse right now.
Netflix runs on all major platforms and even a web browser.
