Google announces Nexus 5X and 6P in India

Google today announced its latest Nexus devices in the Indian market. The phones will go on sale in the coming days but interested users can pre-order the devices and avail exclusive benefits like cashback, Bluetooth speakers or headset and a free screen replacement.

The Nexus 5X will be available online on Amazon India at a price of Rs. 31,990 (16GB) and Rs. 35,990 (32GB) where users pre-ordering the phone can get a cash back of up to 1,500, a gift card from Amazon on EMI transaction, Plantronics M70 headset and a free screen replacement.

The Nexus 5X is a decently spec’d phone that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and features a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 1.8GHz processor and 2GB or 3GB RAM, which interestingly is according to the internal storage variant you go with – 16GB or 32GB.

Additionally, the Nexus 5X features fingerprint sensor aka Nexus Imprint, 12.3 megapixel camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 2700mAh battery and LTE support.

The Nexus 6P made by Huawei is the larger sibling of the 5X that brings the same Marshmallow experience with a superior display and improved processor. Featuring an all-metal unibody, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 2GHz processor, 3GB RAM, 12.3 megapixel main camera with 8 megapixel on the front, 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560) display, 3450mAh battery and Quick Charge support. The Nexus 6P also supports Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor.

The Nexus 6P can be pre-booked now on Flipkart and users pre-ordering the device will get 10% discount along with a free Chromecast. Consumers buying it from offline stores like Croma, Reliance Digital will get a Logitech speaker worth Rs. 2,450.

The 32GB Nexus 6P is priced at Rs. 39,999 while the 64GB Nexus 6P is priced at Rs. 42,999.
