Back in June, Google initiated a first step towards letting go of the requirement of having a credit card or a debit card to buy apps and games from the Play Store by introducing prepaid vouchers. Now Google has introduced physical gift cards that will allow users to buy apps, games and in-app items.
Google says the cards are available at brick and mortar stores and can be bought online via Snapdeal. Denominations available include Rs. 750, Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,500.
The cards will be available at Spice Hotspot, Vijay Sales, Planet M, Planet Mobile and Sangeetha Mobiles.
