Amidst a barrage of smartphone launches, Samsung also announced two of its flagship devices – the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+. Both the devices are similar when it comes to hardware but features some changes in the looks department to distinguish them from each other. The Galaxy S6 edge+ is basically a larger sized Galaxy S6 edge with enhanced dual edge display functionality like the integration of ‘People edge’ or the ‘App edge’ whereas the Galaxy Note 5 comes with an improved S Pen that offers a unique clicking mechanism and ability to jot down notes even when the screen is turned off.
Apart from these, we’re looking at devices running Android 5.1 along with Exynos 64-bit 14nm processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage with no expansion slot. Moreover, both phones come with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED Display, LTE Cat. 9 or Cat. 6 support (depending on the region), a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging (full charge in 90 minutes with wired charging or 120 minutes with a wireless charger) and a 16 megapixel and 5 megapixel front-facing camera.
The phones have gained some nifty little additions to capture images like OIS and Auto HDR or Steady Video, 4K UHD video recording and live broadcast through YouTube Live for videos.
The phones will sell in most of the markets by end of this month in colour options of White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.
