Asus unveils Zenfone 2 in India

Asus Zenfone 2

As expected, Asus has announced its highly anticipated Zenfone 2 phones in India. Asus has been hyping up the phones to be affordable yet powerful and will start from an attractive price tag of Rs. 12,999 and going up to Rs. 22,999.

The Asus Zenfone 2 series comprises of couple of variants – ZE551ML and ZE550ML. The variants differ in the processor, RAM and screen department.

Both the phones either come with 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3560/3580 processor clocked at 1.8GHz or 2.3 GHz.

The ZE551ML also comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 whereas ZE550ML comes with a 5.5-inch 720p HD display.

The phones come with either 4GB or 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel f/2.0 camera with 5 megapixel camera on the front, Pixel Master support, Dual SIM dual active support, ZenUI atop Android 5.0 Lollipop a, fast charging support, 3000mAh battery, microSD card slot and internal storage varying from 16GB to 64GB.

The phones will sell through Flipkart.com.

Detailed pricing according to the variant is as follows:

ZE550ML – Rs. 12,999 (5.5-inch HD display, 1.8GHz Z3560, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage)
ZE551ML – Rs. 14,999 (5.5-inch Full HD display, 1.8GHz Z3560, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage)
ZE551ML – Rs. 19,999 (5.5-inch Full HD display, 2.3GHz Z3580, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage)
ZE551ML – Rs. 22,999 (5.5-inch Full HD display, 2.3GHz Z3580, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage)
