There’s a certain amount of innovation a portable hard drive manufacturer can do on the technology side so the best way to differentiate the hard drives from the rest of the pack is to make it aesthetically pleasing. Seagate has gone the same route with the new Seagate Seven drive. In fact, it’s taken the crown to be the world’s slimmest portable hard drive.
The 2.5-inch drive is just 7mm thin and features a premium looking all-metal enclosure and can store up to 500GB of data.
Seagate plans to launch the drive sometime in mid-to-late January for $99.99. The drive can be pre-ordered now on Seagate.com or Amazon.com.
