Chromecast is the unexpected hardware hit from Google mainly due to its simplicity and the fact that it’s affordable. In a surprise announcement, Google has now announced the nifty streaming device for the Indian market and unlike where Google sells through the Play Store, Google has decided to partner with Snapdeal.com and Airtel to handle the sales duty. You can get it from today for Rs. 2,999, which is still a good price but sells for almost half if you purchase it from the United States.
Nevertheless, there’s a lot of content for users to enjoy and if you have a supported device, you can even mirror your device on to the big screen.
Airtel and Eros will also offer Indian Chromecast customers a range of subscription and content bundling options.
