Samsung Project Beyond is 360-degree camera for Gear VR

Virtual Reality is at a very nascent stage and one thing that can catapult its growth is with a backing from a global player. Samsung seems to have taken the responsibility and after announcing Gear VR a couple of months back, the company has announced Project Beyond – a 3D 360-degree omniview camera that will enhance the virtual reality experience on Gear VR.

The camera basically takes images and videos of a location in complete 360-degrees, which can then be viewed on a Gear VR for a complete immersive experience.

Samsung does not plan to make it available any time soon but will make the content that Samsung shoots through Beyond’s camera available to Gear VR users.
