SanDisk’s recently announced 512GB SD Card has made its way to the Indian shores as the company announced the availability of the world’s highest capacity SD card. The SD card’s price is more on the lines with the US pricing and will go for a whopping Rs. 51,990.
Needless to say, the card is being targeted at professional consumers like photographers and videographers who take a lot of pictures in burst mode or shoot videos in 4K resolution. According to SanDisk, users can store up to 14 hours of 4K UHD videos or up to 24 hours of videos in Full HD resolution.
Apart from the huge storage, SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I card offers a read/write speed of 95/90 MB/s respectively, resistant against extreme temperatures, water/shock/x-ray proof and comes with RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software.
The cards are also available in 128GB and 256GB capacities.
SanDisk also introduced world’s fastest microSD UHS-I memory card for smartphones and tablets. This microSD card is also designed with 4K videos in mind and features transfer speeds of up to 95MB/s, just like its 512GB SD card.
The microSD card will be available in 32GB and 64GB capacities for Rs. 4,900 and Rs. 9,700 respectively.
