SanDisk announces 512GB SD card

SanDisk Extreme Pro 512GB

SanDisk has unveiled the world’s highest capacity SD card that can store up to 512GB of data. Targeted to cater the demands of industry professionals who shoot 4K Ultra High Definition (3840x2160p) video, Full HD video (1920×1080)1 and high-speed burst mode photographs, the SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I card offers a humongous space and consistent read/write speed. SanDisk claims the 512GB card can give up to 90MB/s for write and 95MB/s for read.

Additionally, the cards are temperature/water/shock/x-ray proof and come with RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software and a limited lifetime warranty.

The 512GB SDXC card will sell for $799.99.
