Sharp yesterday announced to launch its first Aquos device in the United States market and the Japanese company will launch it through Sprint. The Aquos Crystal’s claim to fame is edge-to-edge display that makes bezels around the display a thing of the past. As for the rest of the specs, the Aquos Crystal seems to be a mid-range device with Android 4.4.2, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1.5GB of RAM and a 5-inch S-CG Silicon LCD HD (1280×720) display.
Additionally, the phone features 8GB of internal memory, microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, 2040mAh battery and Harman’s LiveStage and Clari-Fi audio technologies.
There’s no information on the release date but Sprint will sell the device for free on a two-year contract while Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile will sell for $149.99 plus taxes.
