After a series of leaks, LG has finally announced their flagship phone – the G3. The phone builds on the features of the LG G2 and packs in some meatier hardware that blows the current breed of flagship phones from the competitors out of the park.
While we’re not sure how useful a Quad HD display will be in a real world but LG lays the claim to be one of the first vendors to integrate a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution on its 5.5-inch display that results in a pixel density of 538ppi.
As far as rest of the hardware goes, the LG G3 will be powered by Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 2 or 3GB of RAM (depending on the 16GB or 32GB variant), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, a removable 3000mAh battery and microSD card slot. The phone also features a 2 megapixel front-facing camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS+ support and laser auto focus.
The phone runs Android 4.4 and comes with Knock Code, Kill Switch to disable the phone in case of a theft, Smart Keyboard, Smart Notice and more.
The G2 will go on sale in South Korea from tomorrow and will roll out to other countries in the coming weeks.
