Just Mobile Gum++

Just Mobile Gum++

Battery packs are available aplenty but you don’t find many battery backup devices to be aesthetically pleasing as the ones being offered by Just Mobile. Today we take a look at the Gum++ that builds on the company’s Gum line of battery packs.

Just Mobile has designed this Gum++ a bit differently compared to what we’ve reviewed in the past. While maintaining the same size, the Gum++ features a striped design that gives the battery pack a rugged look and the usual five LED indicators on the top along with a power button and a single full size USB port (output) and microUSB port (input) on each side.

Just Mobile Gum++

The Gum++ boasts a battery capacity of 6000mAh and in our tests, the battery pack could easily top up the Galaxy S5 two times from bottom to top and almost four times, in case of iPhone 5s. The Gum++ supports a current of 2.5A, which means the battery backup is capable of charging tablets as well, including the latest iPads.

The only gripe we have is the restriction of having a single USB port that enables charging of only one device.

Just Mobile Gum++

To sum this up, we feel Gum++ is a major improvement over its predecessor with higher battery capacity and current but could have done with an extra USB port. The Gum++ is available in variety of colours for $69.95.
