50k is the new 40k! Sony is the latest company to announce their flagship phone at a price close to the Rs. 50,000. But good thing for Sony is that they’re bundling few other things with the device that makes the device’s Rs. 50k price tag better than Samsung’s Galaxy S5 or the HTC One (M8).

The phone is expected to go on sale from May 12 and boasts some powerful hardware like Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos display, a 20.7 megapixel Exmor RS for mobile sensor and 3200mAh battery. The Xperia Z2 also adheres to IP55 and IP58 standard for its ability to resist from dust and water.

Sony also announced the SWR10 SmartBand that enables users to track their steps, sleep patterns and more.

The SmartBand will be available from the third week of May at a price of Rs. 5,990.

However, if you’re buying the Xperia Z2, Sony will bundle the SmartBand for free along with a premium phone case, accidental damage protection for 6 months and 2GB free data from Vodafone for two months.
