Samsung’s previous camera phone attempt – Galaxy S4 zoom didn’t fare well. However, Samsung isn’t losing any hope as they’ve introduced its successor, the Galaxy K zoom. Ideally, Samsung should have named it as Galaxy S5 zoom but Samsung is going with a new series nomenclature, which we hope will expand faster in the coming months.
As for the Galaxy K zoom, Samsung has made the device slimmer with a perforated back just like the Galaxy S5 and packs in a 20.7 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and 10x optical zoom. Additionally, it also has Xenon Flash, AF/AE Separation (Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure Separation) for the adjusting balance of light and clarity, Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS), Pro Suggest mode that offers 5 optimised filter settings and Selfie Alarm for timed selfies.
On the hardware side, Galaxy K zoom features an Exynos hexa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED (720p) display, Android 4.4, Ultra Power Saving Mode, S Health Lite, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2430mAh battery.
Samsung hasn’t revealed the price but the phone will be available globally in the next few weeks.
