In addition to Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft’s desktop and tablet centric operating system also got an update. The Windows 8.1 Update refines the already improved Windows 8.1 with new features, making it more friendly for mouse and keyboard users.
The Windows 8.1 Update now adds a Power and a Search button on the start screen, can boot directly to desktop mode for select devices, pin desktop and new interface apps to the taskbar, a context menu while right clicking on an app tile and a pinned Windows Store icon on the taskbar.
MSDN subscribers can now get the Windows 8.1 Update today while regular Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users will get it from April 8 through Windows Store.
