Google has expanded the availability of its Chromecast device to 11 new countries. Starting today, consumers in Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK can buy the cheap streaming device from Google’s Play Store, Amazon or select local retailers.
For the uninitiated, Chromecast is an HDMI dongle that connects to the TV and allows users to enjoy online as well as personal videos (through 3rd party apps) from their smartphones and tablets.
Google recently opened up Chromecast to developers so you can expect some new apps supporting the hardware.
