BlackBerry’s partnership with Foxconn has come to fruition as they’ve announced the first budget smartphone – BlackBerry Z3. Although BlackBerry says the phone’s been designed for the Indonesian market, we can expect the Canadian company to expand the phone’s availability in other emerging markets like India. The phone will be priced at the lower end of the spectrum but will come with a big 5-inch display along with the latest BlackBerry 10 v10.2.1 OS that boasts features like BlackBerry Hub, BBM, Time Shift and Story Maker and FM Radio.
The BlackBerry Z3 will be available in Indonesia in April.
BlackBerry also announced a new BB10 phone with a QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry Q20 aims to bring the ‘old’ BlackBerry back with the familiar Menu, Back, Send and End buttons and a trackpad. Since this will be a flagship device that will take the helm from Q10, Q20 will have a premium look and feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, which is said to be the largest ever in a BlackBerry QWERTY device.
There’s no image or word on the exact availability but BlackBerry expects to release it in H2 2014.
