Qualcomm has confirmed to not commercialise its Snapdragon 802 chip meant for Smart TVs. Qualcomm puts the blame on the demand, which according to them proved “smaller than anticipated.” Snapdragon 802 belonged to the Snapdragon 800 family and was unveiled at the CES last month targeted towards Smart TVs, set-top boxes and digital media adapters.
Qualcomm concentrated on Snapdragon 802’s Ultra HD capabilities along with its fast 1.8GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 GPU.
