Chinese handset manufacturer, Gionee today announced their latest flagship device for its home market. The device builds on its previous top-end device – the Elife E6 and boasts improved hardware and software. The phone will sell in three variants in China – 3G, TD-SCDMA and LTE with the first two being powered by Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz quad-core processor while the LTE variant being powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.5GHz. Gionee will also offer devices with either 2GB of RAM or 3GB of RAM depending on the internal storage (16GB for 2GB and 32GB for 3GB).
Other hardware features include a 5.5-inch full HD IPS touch screen OGS display, 16MP camera with sapphire lens, 8MP front-facing camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-FI, GPS and 2500mAh battery.
Gionee has confirmed that the Elife E7 will run Android 4.4 OS with Amigo 2.0 UI.
The Elife E7 is expected in India and other markets in early 2014 while Chinese consumers will be able to buy it next month for 2699 yuan for 16GB + 2GB RAM version and 3199 yuan for 32GB + 3GB version.
