With 4K TVs going affordable by the day and smartphones like Galaxy Note 3 (Snapdragon variant) supporting 4K video recording, it has become necessary for recording media to be at par with the new resolution. SD Association has now confirmed that cards with UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) will indicate that they’re capable of recording 4K videos.
The UHS Speed Class 3 specification suggests the cards will be able to record content at a minimum speed of up to 30MB/s, which will ensure faster writing speed for high quality video recordings.
