Acer has confirmed that JT Wang, CEO and Chairman has stepped down from his position. Wang’s resignation is a result of the Taiwanese company posting losses along with huge value being written off from its sub-brands like Gateway and Packard Bell. Wang also takes the responsibility of the company’s losses as well as the inability to bring the company back into profit.
Jim Wong who is the president of the company will assume the role of CEO from January 1 while Acer founder Stan Shih will take charge of the transition committee for a smooth transfer.
