The final announcement to come out from the Apple camp were about the two iPads. The first one is called as the iPad Air and this variant replaces the third and the fourth-generation iPads with a slimmer and a lighter version. The iPad Air is 20 percent thinner, 28 percent lighter than the fourth-gen iPad and has a 43 percent narrower bezel.
The iPad mini on the other hand, now features a 7.9-inch screen with Retina display support (2048×1536).
As for the rest of the features, both the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display boasts Apple’s A7 chip with 64-bit support and M7 motion chip. There’s a front-facing 1.2MP FaceTime HD camera, 5MP iSight camera, 1080p video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and up to 10 hours of battery life.
The new iPads will be released in capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB in both Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi+Cellular models from November 1 in countries like US, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China (Wi-Fi models only), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (Wi-Fi models only), Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
