Nokia unveils Lumia 625 and Lumia 925 in India

August 22, 2013 By Kunal Gangar Leave a Comment

Lumia 625

Nokia at an event in New Delhi today announced two new Lumia devices – Lumia 625 and Lumia 925. Lumia 625’s claim to fame is its huge 4.7-inch display but has a mediocre WVGA (480×800) resolution. Other features include a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, 5MP main camera with front-facing VGA cam, 8GB internal memory, microsD card slot, 2000mAh battery and changeable polycarbonate covers just like the entry-level Lumias.

On the software-side, Lumia 625 is powered by the Amber update out of the box and comes with HERE suite of apps, Smart Camera, Cinemagraph and Your Movies App to download and stream up to 3000 movies. Nokia sells the Lumia 625 for Rs. 19,999 which is interesting because a better spec’d Lumia 720 is available for less than that.

Lumia 925

Lumia 925 was first announced internationally in May and after three months, the device has reached the Indian shores. The Lumia 925 takes over from the Lumia 920 with an improved camera that is said to feature the “most advanced lens technology” for low light shots. The phone also pre-loads Smart Camera app that adds functionality like the Best Shot, Action Shot and Motion Focus.

Lumia 925 features a 4.5-inch WXGA AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 8.7MP PureView camera with optical image stabilisation, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 2000mAh battery, Windows Phone 8 OS and wireless charging support via a snap-on accessory cover. Lumia 925 is priced at Rs. 33,499.
