BlackBerry may have an uncertain future ahead but that hasn’t stopped the Canadian company to launch a new device for the entry-level market. The BlackBerry 9720 is touted to be “perfect for customers upgrading from a feature phone or entry-level Android or Windows Phone device” and is powered by BlackBerry 7.1 OS.
The device looks more or less similar to the existing BlackBerry lineup but brings a dedicated BBM voice and chat key, Multicast to share the same message across BBM, Facebook or Twitter, built-in FM Radio. Additionally, the phone has a physical QWERTY keyboard, 2.8-inch HVGA touch screen display, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 1450mAh battery, microSD card slot and choice of five colours – Black, Blue, Pink, Purple and White.
There’s no info on the price but BlackBerry 9720 will be available in select markets in Asia, EMA and Latin America.
