The Android update scenario a few years back was that HTC was at the forefront on updating its devices while Samsung was the biggest culprit of not delivering it. The tables have turned it seems as HTC today confirmed to not release future Android updates for its One S phone that was launched last year.
HTC decision of not giving the update will keep One S out of the goodness that HTC’s latest phones enjoy with Android 4.2 and Sense 5. HTC’s reason is surprising because One S possesses a decent hardware that can run the latest Android OS smoothly. However, HTC is banking One S’ camera and audio quality will suffice consumers from not wanting new Android upgrades.
