HTC sold around 5 million One devices

HTC One

An unnamed HTC executive today confirmed the sales number of HTC One to Wall Street Journal. Apparently, HTC has managed to sell around 5 million One units since its launch more than a month ago. Although the timing of the confirmation is interesting since Samsung released their shipment figures today as well, HTC One’s numbers seem pretty good considering the production issues they’ve been facing with the device.

HTC expects the production issue to improve by next month and hopefully stop the exodus of employees that is on the news in the past few days.
