LG today confirmed that its Optimus G smartphone will be the first device to be launched with LTE TDD band support. Saudi Arabia will be the first country to get it but as year progresses, LG will roll out the faster Optimus G in China, India, North America, Japan and Australia.
LG says Long Term Evolution Time Division Duplexing (LTE TDD) is superior to LTE FDD that allows receiving and transmitting to occur on the same frequency at different times.
