Google celebrates Play Store’s first anniversary with discounted apps, books and more

Google rebranded its Android Market as the Play Store to bring apps, games, books, music and videos under one roof. Now to celebrate its first year anniversary, Google is offering some content to users for free or at discounted rates.

Although Google is offering some video and music in the United States, Indian Play Store users will have to be content with some apps.

Google also revealed how much content is hosted on the Play Store and it includes 700,000 apps, over 5 million books, 18 million songs.
