We may’ve covered the idea of converting your existing HDTV to a smart one but if you’re the one who’s looking for a branded hardware, Samsung’s HomeSync could be the answer. Samsung announced the Android Jelly Bean powered HomeSync today at the Mobile World Congress that allows users to transform their existing TV sets to Smart TVs. However, making TVs smart is not the only thing HomeSync can do because it comes integrated with 1TB HDD that allows users to upload, stream content from the HomeSync to their devices and vice versa. Up to 8 users can even store their content securely within the HomeSync.
As for the hardware, HomeSync features a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 1TB HDD and 8GB eMMC, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 2 USB 3.0 ports, microUSB port, HDMI 1.4 support.
Samsung will release the HomeSync device in US in April and will roll out in other regions thereafter.
