BlackBerry 10 features Android runtime that allows to sideload and run Android apps but a major limitation is that it runs apps that are supported by Android 2.3.3. Good news is, BlackBerry will update the runtime to support the latest Android operating system – Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The confirmation came at the BlackBerry Jam Europe yesterday and though there’s no date to look forward to, it certainly is good news for developers who are looking to port their latest Android app onto the new BlackBerry platform and consumers wanting to use apps until they are developed for BB10.
