So you thought the ‘phablet’ screen size maxed out at 5.5-inches with the Galaxy Note II? Well, you’re completely wrong as Huawei has upped the ante with Ascend Mate. Bridging the gap between a smartphone and a tablet, this offering from Huawei sports a 6.1-inch display and is rumored to feature a 1.8GHz quad-core SoC along with 4,000mAh battery packed in just 9.9mm thin shell.
Earlier this month, Huawei executive confirmed to be working on a Galaxy Note II competitor and given the initial look, Huawei’s product looks promising.
More information is expected at the CES in about two weeks time.
