Dell’s Jeff Clarke at the Dell World Conference confirmed that Dell will leave the smartphone business. Although a lucrative and burgeoning market, Dell couldn’t manage to get a foothold with their Android offerings and compete with the likes of Apple, Samsung or HTC.
Dell, however, will now evolve its mobile strategy to concentrate on tablets. Dell is optimistic about Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows RT and have the latest Dell range powered by the OS.
