Moving from Android-related announcements, the Taiwanese company also announced couple of new phones powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 OS.
Both 8X and 8S go after a different set of crowd with 8X targeted at consumers looking for a high-end offering whereas 8S after a mid-range seeking customer base.
The HTC 8X features a 4.3-inch HD Super LCD2 screen and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor along with 16GB of internal storage. 8X also boasts an 8MP camera with full HD video recording support and a 2MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 88 degrees ultra-wide angle lens. It also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.1, GPS, Beats Audio, 16GB internal storage (no expandable memory) no and 1800mAh battery.
8S on the other hand, also runs Windows Phone 8 and features Qualcomm S4 1GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch display with WVGA resolution, Beats Audio, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording support, 4GB internal memory with microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.1 and 1700mAh battery.
HTC will sell the 8X for Rs. 35,023 and 8S for Rs. 19,260.
