As promised, Lenovo announced its range of Android powered smartphones for the Indian market. The range includes five devices – A60+, P700i, S560, S880 and K860 with price starting from Rs. 6499 and going up to Rs. 28499.
Starting with the cheapest A60+, the phone runs Android 2.3 and is powered by 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. The phone also features 7.2Mbps HSDPA, dual-SIM support, 3.5-inch HVGA display, 2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and 1500mAh battery.
Next up is the Lenovo P700i that comes with Lenovo Smart Energy technology and helps to improve battery life with an estimated talk time of up to 28 hours and stand by time up to 13 days.
The phone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and features dual core 1GHz CPU, Dual SIM functionality, 512MB RAM, 4-inch WVGA 800×480 display, 5MP camera, front facing VGA camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, GPS, microSD card slot, 2500mAh battery.
Going up the ladder is S560 which is similarly spec’d to the P700i but comes in an attractive design and Dolby Digital Plus. S560 will go for Rs. 14,499.
The S880 is an affordable phablet. The phone boasts a 5-inch WVGA touchscreen display and is powered by Android 4.0 OS, 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. Rounding up its specs sheet are dual SIM support, 5MP and VGA cameras, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, FM, GPS, microSD card slot and 2250mAh battery. The S880 is priced at Rs. 18,999.
The final device to be launched is the K860, which sits at the top of the Lenovo mobile phone range. It goes for Rs. 28,499 but a higher asking price gives a power packed Exynos 4412 1.4GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 5-inch 1280×720 display, 8MP camera, up to 100 photos in burst mode, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 2250mAh battery.
Lenovo will initially sell the device in select regions but will roll out the devices nationwide soon.
