LaCie unveils external storage for Macs with USB 3.0 and SSD support

LaCie has teamed up yet again with their long-term design partners – Porsche Design to introduce a new external storage solution that boasts luxurious looks and speed. LaCie says the device is designed for Macs due to its elegant design and the fact that it works flawlessly with Apple’s Time Machine.

To top it further, LaCie also offers the P’9223 slim drive with USB 3.0 connectivity and an SSD option, which in conjunction with the USB 3.0 interface, can give a transfer speed of up to 400MB/s.

The slim drive with 500GB HDD costs $99.99 whereas the SSD option will go for $149.99.
