AllThingsD: Apple to unveil iPad Mini in October

If the iPhone 5 release rumor for September 12 was not enough, AllThingsD claims Apple will schedule another event in October for the iPad mini. The site’s source suggests Apple will announce the smaller variant of current iPad only after the next-generation iPhone goes on sale.

The iPad mini is rumored to have a 7.85-inch display and will be priced lower than the new iPad.

This, of course, hasn’t been confirmed by Apple but given the authority of AllThingsD when it comes to Apple-related announcements, they’ve been spot on in the past.
