A new report by Bloomberg claims Amazon is working on a smartphone of its own. After the success of its Kindle Fire tablet, the world’s largest online retail company has set its eyes on phones and is apparently working with Foxconn.
Although most of the details are unconfirmed at the moment, Amazon’s decision to create a phone would be to facilitate sales of its vast digital content, just like in case of a tablet.
Kindle Fire is powered by Android OS but is heavily modified by Amazon and is safe to assume the Kindle Phone (?) could follow the same route.
