United States has the largest user base of NFC-enabled devices and to take advantage of this short-range communication, Samsung has announced TecTiles programmable NFC tags that allows to automate some processes. TecTiles can be used by businesses or consumers to pre-configure the tag to perform a specific function. With the help of the free TecTile app, consumers can program the tags to do an automatic FourSquare or Facebook check-in, send an SMS, change the phone settings and more.
TecTile programmable NFC tags are now selling in US for $14.99 for a pack of five.
