Sony has expanded its Xperia range with two solid offerings – Xperia go and Xperia acro S. Both devices boast extra durability and are water resistant.
Apart from the ability to withstand accidental spills, Xperia go is equipped with a 3.5-inch scratch resistant mineral glass Reality Display (320×480) with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and wet finger tracking, 1GHz dual core processor, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, Android 2.3 OS which will be upgradable to Android 4.0, GPS, 8GB internal memory with microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 3G, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and 1305mAh battery.
Acro S on the other hand, sports the IP55 and IP57 certifications for dust and water resistance and will launch with Android 4.0. As for the hardware specs, it will come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 720p Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, GPS, 12.1MP camera with Exmor R lens and 1080p video recording, FM Radio, PlayStation certified, DLNA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 1910mAh battery.
Both the phones will be available from the third quarter of this year.
