This is what the doctor ordered. Nokia who was losing its foothold in the smartphone market has now got some respite with its flagship device range Lumia clocking 1 million sales figure. Based on the Windows 7 phone OS, the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 cater to both high-end and budget conscious buyers respectively. After ditching MeeGo and giving away with aging Symbian OS, the sales figure for Nokia Windows device would be good sign for the Finnish giant.
Infact, Nokia also announced the Lumia 900 for the US markets on AT&T this month at the CES 2012. There is no doubt that Windows 7 phone OS has a compelling user interface and is much easier to use, however, will it dethrone the iOS based iPhone and Android devices in the future will be an exciting thing to look out for.
