Polaroid announced a smart camera powered by Android. Converginig the capturing and sharing activity, the SC1630 is a 16-megapixel camera, featuring 3X optical zoom and a 3.2in widescreen display.
The camera also features automatic face and smile detection. Besides capturing, one can edit, save and upload the pictures taken from the smart camera. As it runs on Android, smart camera can upload pictures to social networks with the touch of one button and can hold up to 32GB of memory via a microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the SC1630 boasts Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional cellular data connections. The SC1630 will be available for consumers in the coming months, however, the price of the device is yet to be known.
