The day that everyone was waiting for. The day when the speculation of what would be the next iPhone look like or called arrived. Apple announced the successor to the iPhone 4, that iPhone 4S. The 4S looks same from outside but is completely new inside.

Apple has upped the processing power to A5 chip dual-core along with dual-core graphics making it a meaty gaming powerhorse. If the iPhone 4 was fast, this one is blazingly fast, around 7 times faster than the previous one.

iPhone 4S will offer eight hours of 3G talk time, six hours of browsing, nine hours on WiFi, 10 hours of video, or 40 hours of music. The camera has also been bumped to 8-megapixel with CMOS backside illuminated sensor. This one gets 73% more light than the iPhone 4 sensor and is 1/3rd faster. The iPhone 4S now supports 1080p HD video capture and playback.

Another notable feature that is includes in the iPhone 4S is the voice control feature labeled as ‘Siri’. Siri is a digital assistant with whom you can talk and get things done. For instance, You can ask your phone, What’s the weather today? Siri would reply you back showing the weather screen. Indeed cool. It can even remind you of your scheduled tasks and read messages for you, handsfree. You can now even use voice control instead of using the keyboard. In the beta stage, there is support for English, French and German language, going further more languages will be added.

The iPhone 4S also gets Airplay mirroring. This means playing your favourite game or watching a movie on a large screen can be done wired or wirelessly.

The new iPhone 4S will be available in black and white colors with 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299 and 64GB for $399. Pre-order for iPhone 4S begins October 7 and it will be launched on the 14th October. Initially, the iPhone 4S will be available in US, UK, Canada, Japan, France, Australia and Germany.

The older iPhones, that are, the 3GS now goes free with contract and the iPhone 4 8GB can be purchased for just $99 on contract.
