Just Mobile Slide Review

There are a lot of accessories available for iPad that double as a kickstand. Despite the multiple functionality the one limitation amongst majority of the accessories is the viewing angle being restricted to a certain degree preset by the accessory. However, its different in the case of Just Mobiles Slide. It’s a dedicated kickstand for your iPad that allows adjusting as viewing angle according to the user’s preference and not the other way round.

Design
We have reviewed Just Mobile accessories before on Tech Ticker and one thing we like about this Taiwanese company is the simple yet elegant design, reminiscent to Apple’s style. All accessories match the high quality and design standards that complement the Apple product. The Slide is no exception. Although simple, Slide is carved from a single aluminum piece that makes it at par with iPad and iPad 2’s aluminum back. The rubbers placed at the bottom of the Slide and inside the curve ensures that whatever gadget you place on won’t fall of the smooth aluminum surface.

Performance
Slide is not a run-of-the-mill kickstand, which is why we needed a quick glance to the instructions to see how it worked. Turns out the rubbery cylinder that is stowed nicely in the tubular section of the Slide does all the hard work. Just remove that from the Slide and place it on the top, beneath the gadget. Now adjust the viewing angle according to your liking. That is it. It works as intended. You can easily view content on your iPad 2 in variety of angles that most other kickstand accessories cannot offer.

Also, the cylinder is heavy enough to withstand the weight of an iPad and boasts a rubbery finish that adds to the grip of the gadget.

Conclusion
Here is the important question — is Slide worth? The Slide costs $40 and it maybe pricey for some but you get an accessory that matches iPad’s design and quality. Moreover, you can use this kickstand with any tablet or even a large smartphone like Galaxy S II.
